Junction City Commissioners have elected Jeff Underhill to serve as mayor for the coming year. He was nominated by Commissioner Ronna Larson with the motion seconded by Commissioner Pat Landes. Commissioners Al Gordon and Richard Pinaire voted no. Underhill succeeds Pat Landes in the mayor's role.
Pat Landes was elected vice mayor. He was nominated by Ronna Larson with Jeff Underhill seconding the motion. Al Gordon made it clear later in the meeting that he also voted no in the vice mayor election.
Commissioners conducted their annual reorganization Tuesday night. The members of the governing body decided to have each commissioner continue serving on the same public boards and committees that they served on last year.
