Alex McKay, Jr.

Alex McKay, Jr., 64, was called to be with our Lord and Savior on August 11, 2021, in Junction City, Kansas.

He was born to Alex and Jennie L. (Hartsfield) McKay, in Fort Monroe, Virginia, on August 28,1956.  He was a member of Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, Florida.  Alex Jr. was a 1975 graduate of Junction City High School, and 1977 graduate of Chipola College in Marianna, Florida.

Alex Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie L. McKay, son, Derian J. McKay, brother,J. McKay, sister, Nadine R. McKay, and the loving family Yorkie, Raja.

He is survived by his father, Alex McKay, Sr., of Junction City, brother, Eric D. McKay and his wife Dorothy, of Junction City, sisters, Bridget L. McKay, of Laurel, Maryland, and Stephanie M. El Sayed, of Rota, Spain, and his brother-in-love, Gregory A. Clayborn, of Clarksville, Tennessee,
and one adored nephew, Dr. Mezzan M. McKay, of Washington, D.C. Maternal aunts, Chris (deceased), Mary B. Britt and her husband, Durance, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ethel B. Ruth and her husband, John, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paternal uncles, Lee McKay
(deceased) and his wife, Elizabeth (deceased), Johnnie B. McKay (deceased), Wesley McKay and
his wife Ernestine, Rozell McKay, and KW McKay, all of Jackson County, Florida. Paternal aunts, Callie Young and Lillian Wilson and her husband, Joe, of Jackson County, Florida, and a host of dearly loved cousins, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and
friends.

Alex Jr.’s Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on August 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Kansas.
Repast will be held at the Family Buffet Restaurant on East Chestnut.
