MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State Head Football Coach Chris Klieman addressed the media Tuesday for his weekly press conference. During which, he stated that he did not think it was likely that Senior Quarterback Skylar Thompson would return from injury this Saturday against Oklahoma.
"I would say not likely this week," said Klieman. "He's doing more things, but I just think, maybe late in the week we'll have a better understanding, but right now, I would say no, it's going to be Will (Howard) and Jaren (Lewis)."
Thompson suffered an apparent knee injury in the first quarter of K-State's second game of the season against Southern Illinois. Thompson was seen taking some snaps and throws, as well as throwing some prior to K-State's 31-20 loss Saturday at Oklahoma State, but did not play.
The Wildcats will host a top-five-ranked Oklahoma team on Saturday at 2:30p.m.. The Wildcats have beaten OU each of the last two meetings, including a 38-35 comeback win last season.
