Junction City's Freedom Fest is hosting a "Balloons, Blues and BBQ" event this coming Saturday (May 13th) to raise money to support the 2023 Freedom Fest Independence Day Holiday weekend celebration this coming Summer in downtown Junction City Heritage Park.
The event this coming Saturday will be staged at the Freeman Field Airport at 18th and North Jackson Streets, Junction City and will feature tethered balloon rides for purchase (weather permitting), barbecue meals for purchase served by "Roll N' Smoke," and Blues music by nationally known performer Jonathon "Boogie" Long from New Orleans, LA.
It will not be Long's first visit to Junction City as he performed at the former "Blues and BBQ" Festival series of concert events staged in the early fall of the year in Heritage Park.
Admission to the "Balloons, Blues and BBQ will be $5 per person with children 9-years-old and younger free.
