A number of topcs were touched on during this week's Junction City Commission meeting.
--Some of the commissioner thoughts on different topics included hope that the community cleanup could be done twice a year. The recent initial cleanup was successful.
--There is a need for possible sidewalk improvements from Coronado Park to I-70.
--There was a sentiment by Commissioner Richard Pinaire for a three mill reduction in the city budget
--More weed eating work is needed in the parks.That job is contracted out.
--The Geary County Historical Society has requested $10,000 from the city for next year. The request comes in lieu of expected cuts in county funding. City staff appears willing to help but final action has not yet occurred. There was also a suggestion to check with the CVB.
