Brigade even playoff series with the Blues

Zach Ebert pitched seven strong innings to help lead the Junction City Brigade to a 13-3 win over the Baldwin City Blues at Rathert Field Saturday night.

The victory evened the Mid Plains League postseason playoff series between the two teams at one win apiece. The deciding game three will be played at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rathert Field with the winner advancing to meet the Midwest A's in the championship series next week. Midwest swept their playoff series against Sabetha 2-0.

Ebert went seven innings on the mound and threw 99 pitches. He struck out nine and walked only two hitters. Baldwin City only scored one unearned during during the time they faced Ebert.

Jace Essig had a home run and a double for the Brigade in the victory.
