WABAUNSEE COUNTY - On Thursday, May 23rd, just before 10:30pm, Deputies with the Wabaunsee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the report of shots fired.
When deputies arrived on scene in the 17000 block of Wakarusa Road, they found evidence, including the circumstances to arrest 66-year-old, James John Owens, from Eskridge.
Owens was booked into the Wabaunsee County Jail on requested charges of Attempted Murder in the 1st Degree; Aggravated Battery/use of a deadly weapon; Aggravated Assault/use of a deadly weapon & Domestic Battery.
No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.
The investigation remains ongoing. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
