Trish Giordano has been elected by her fellow commissioners to serve as the Chair of the governing body for the coming year. Alex Tyson will be the Vice-Chair and Keith Ascher Secretary.
Appointments by the commission to other public boards include:
--Trish Giordano to the North Central Kansas Regional Detention Center Board, Flint Hills Regional Council and Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Board.
--Alex Tyson to the EDC, ATA Bus Board, County Risk Management Committee, the Emergency Planning Committee, Heartland Works and the Geary County Convention & Visitors Bureau Board.
--Keith Ascher will serve on the MPO, Solid Waste Management Planning Committee and the Military Affairs Council.
--John Moyer, Tony Van Buren and Eric Coffman to the 911 Board.
