The 30th annual Juneteenth Festival in Junction City will be held this Saturday ( June 14 ) from 1 to 8 p.m. in Heritage Park.
Performers will include Big Mike Pugh, Keith Staten and performing gospel rap, Jordan Cortez. Dreamline plus Break Vessel performing with Keith Staten are also on the schedule.
There will be a Kids Zone from 1-5. including a Foam Party from 2-3 p.m.
There will also be a DJ, food and crafts.
Juneteenth marks the time in 1865 that slaves in Texas first learned about the Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln.
