(Manhattan, KS – July 20, 2026) The City of Manhattan is excited to announce Amy Lange has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Lange is expected to begin work in early September.
As Chief Financial Officer, Lange will provide leadership, management and general oversight for the City’s Finance Department. The position is responsible for helping develop and recommend financial strategies, directing the development and oversight of the annual budget and fiscal policies, and supporting the accounting and financial systems used to maintain the City’s financial records.
Lange brings more than a decade of experience as a financial leader in municipal government and public education organizations. Most recently, Lange served as City Manager for the City of Concordia, Kansas. Her experience includes government accounting, capital improvement planning, debt issuance and management, financial forecasting, and public finance policy.“
Lange holds a Master of Public Administration from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science & Management, with a minor in business administration, also from Kansas State University.
