Three first responders went on the roof of the Geary County 4-H / Senior Center Friday evening to help raise funds for the annual Junction City - Geary County United Way campaign. They included Junction City Fire Chief Jason Lankas, JCPD Captain Matt Paquette and Geary County Undersheriff Justin Stopper. So far the fundraising total for the first responders is $2,047. More donations remain to be tabulated.

Donations were accepted for each of the first responders.
The Raise Roof event was followed by a balloon release and a karaoke contest.



The overall fundraising goal for the entire campaign during the next year was set at $125,000.
United Way helps support numerous charities and organizations.
