Junction City Commissioners have adopted resoluions issuing general obbligation bonds for animal shelter and public works facility improvements. Cost estimates were $1,200,000 for the animal shelter and $1,925,000 for the public works facility.

They approved a $999,625 bid for the animal shelter remodeling.

There was extensive discussion about a vacant building that was recently acquired by a 501- C3 organization. City officials have grave conerns about the safety of the building structure and the cost to make repairs.

There will be an update for the commission in two weeks.
