GEARY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Thursday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 GMC Sierra driven by Jacob Thomas Stevenson, 32, Abilene, was eastbound on Interstate 70 under Milford Lake Road Bridge in the right lane.
The pickup rear-ended a 2016 Chevy Silverado hauling a Gator Made trailer and driven by William J. Carter, 23, Russellville, Kentucky, who was parked on the south shoulder and merged into the right lane at approximately 15 mph.
EMS transported Stevenson to Stormont Vail. Carter was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
