Pawnee Mental Health has announced the promotion of Terra Upham, LCP, to Director of Therapy Services. With an impressive 11-year tenure at Pawnee, Terra brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this new position.
Terra Upham holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology, has completed specialized training as a Yoga and Mindfulness coach, TF-CBT, and is becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Since joining Pawnee in 2013, she has gained extensive experience through roles such as mental health therapist, Youth Community Services Supervisor, and, most recently, assistant director of community services.
In her new role at Pawnee Mental Health, Upham will oversee therapy services for individuals and families, develop treatment plans, and work closely with the team to support the community’s mental health needs. She will also lead new initiatives aimed at expanding outreach and support services.
Upham is passionate about supporting individuals with mental illness and is committed to holistic care. Her extensive knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of Pawnee’s services. She dedicates herself to reducing mental health stigma and advocating for increased service access.
Outside of her professional work, Upham is keenly interested in promoting mental health awareness and serves as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
