KDOT provided an opportunity this week to review concepts for a proposed Taylor Road interchange off I-70 on the southwest edge of Junction City.

The project is in the discovery phase. The aging bridge over I-70 needs to be replaced and with that possibility comes an opportunity to increase access and encourage additional economic development in the area. The project is also studying local roadway connections from the potential I-70 interchange to Srauss Boulevard that may be completed by local entities.
The discovery phase is on track to be completed by the end of the summer.

Overall project development could take three to four years.
