JAG-K Programs Shine at Nationals

The Junction City High School and Junction City Alternative Education (H.D. Karns) JAG-K programs had a banner weekend at the 2024 National Career Development Conference in St. Louis, Mo. James Lamar, Jae’Lynn Dennard and Jaden Exantus were crowned 2024 National Champions in creative decision making on Saturday, while Noah Maldonado, Jonae Conover and Alani Burks earned third-place honors in their project-based learning showcase.

Other notables included Jackson Waters (fourth overall) and Bethany Wells (seventh overall) placing in the top-10 in career preparation. Finally, Alisia Martinez, John Seamans and Ruben Solis rounded out the USD 475 competitors in St. Louis by showcasing their business plan.

As a program, the Junction City Alternative Education One program (H.D. Karns) was named an Outstanding Chapter.
