
JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating three suspects for multiple allegations involving drugs and guns.
On Feb. 5, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Pontiac G6 driving southbound on U.S. Highway 75 near 126th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
During the traffic stop the deputy discovered what was believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine, two 9 mm handguns, multiple loaded syringes, marijuana, 50 pills of suboxone and other drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Patricia Nichols, 45, of Wamego, was arrested on requested charges of distribution of stimulant, criminal use of weapons, possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The front seat passenger, Sheila Walker, 46, of Topeka, was arrested on requested charges of possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, criminal use of weapons, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The back seat passenger, Marques Cates, 27, of El Dorado, was arrested on requested charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
