JUNCTION CITY, Kan. - The Kansas State Department of Education announced on Wednesday that 19 Junction City High School seniors have been named 2025 Kansas Career and Technical Education Scholars.In all, the Blue Jays had 12 seniors named CTE Scholars in Health Science, five in Comprehensive Agriculture Science and one in Engineering and Applied Mathematics, as well as Corrections, Security, Law and Law Enforcement Services.

Overall, 200 Kansas high school seniors earned recognition throughout the state. The Kansas CTE Scholar program is an opportunity to recognize well-rounded, outstanding CTE students who are finishing their senior year of high school in 2025. The first Kansas CTE Scholars were named in 2017. The 2025 class was announced during the Kansas State Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 8, in Topeka. All CTE scholars will receive a commemorative pin, a special certificate, a graduation honor cord and statewide recognition.
