USD 475 school board members have voted to acquire a Boston Grand Piano for the Fine Arts Department at Junction High School. It is being acquired in memory of two former educators in the district, the late Charles Volland and the late Vaudene Field. According to the spokesman for the project at the Tuesday night school board meeting, David Wild, the cost is $41,816 with the District matching funds totaling $6,563. The remainder will come from donated funds.
The piano will be delivered in time for the new school year.
