Evergy will once again be offering in-person assistance to Kansas residents who need help filling out their LIEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) applications.
Evergy will be one of several utilities at the LIEAP Energy Bill Assistance Event Thursday, February 15, at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library from 10 am – 3pm.
Eligible customers can fill out applications to receive federal assistance to help with utility bills. No appointments needed, but customer should bring the following:
- Identification
- Social Security numbers for all household members
- Proof of Income for all permanent individuals in the home who are 18 years or older
- Copy of lease (only if Section 8)
- Copies of utility bills (gas, electric, propane, wood, etc.)
Kansas residents can apply for LIEAP through March 29
