Freedom Fest JC will raise funds Saturday night at the Municipal Auditorium for their Fourth of July celebration. Organizing Committee Chair Nate Butler said there will be entertainment by Platinum Express featuring JJ Johnson performing a Motown type of music. "Just come out and have a good dinner with barbecue and dance the night away to some Motown music with Platinum Express."

Tickets are $35 per person or $250 for a table of eight. They can be purchased at the C.L. Hoover Opera House or the Customer Service Center at the Municipal Building.

Butler noted that fundraising is getting close  to their budget for this year. "But what we want to do is to be able to have enough in the bank so at the end of this festival we can go ahead and begin contracting for our 2023 festival.
