
RILEY COUNTY —A man who was burning trash is being blamed for starting a fire early Thursday in Manhattan.
Just before 1:30a.m., the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire at 1704 Fair Lane #15, according to a media release.

The home was searched, and the fire was contained in less than 10 minutes. The single-wide mobile home was occupied at the time of the fire. Loss is estimated at $1000 and the mobile home is a total loss. The owner of the mobile home is Raymond Fisher.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental due to the resident illegally burning trash.
