There was a retiremen ceremony for the Geary County Sheriff's Office K-9 Dog,"Nova" on Friday afternoon. She is wrapping up more than six years of service.

Nova was a former shelter dog that was trained&nbsp; by the Geary County Sheriff's Office and certified.

Nova served as a K-9 dog from March 2019 until January 30, 2026.
