Jerry Lonergan will start work Monday as the new Director of the Flint Hills Regional Council.
Members of the council approved a resolution making Lonergan's hiring official. He has spent the past year as the interim director of the Junction City Main Street program.
Junction City and Manhattan are both among cities and counties represented on the council.
