Big Weekend for JCHS Girls Wrestling

Junction City High School girls wrestling competed in two separate tournaments over the weekend, earning strong team finishes and multiple individual honors.

The JCHS girls varsity wrestling team participated in the Christmas Clash tournament in Great Bend. Junction City placed 4th in the tournament, out of 33 teams. (JCHS finished 2.5 points out of 3rd place). 

Individual medalists are listed below.

  1. **Juliana “Bree” Villanueva — 1st Place -  Also awarded Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

In the Topeka tournament - Melvin Douglas Invitational, the JCHS girls wrestling team placed 3rd overall.
