A funeral service for Pottawatomie County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director Joel Fager will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas, 66615. There will not be a graveside service as Joel chose to be cremated. All Emergency Services and Military Honors will take place at Fellowship Bible Church.
An Emergency Services vehicle procession will depart the Wamego Recreation Complex (Highway 24 and Balderson Boulevard) at 9:00 a.m. to escort Joel’s remains and the family from Wamego to Topeka. The public is invited to line Lincoln Street (Highway 99) in Wamego as the procession travels from Highway 24 west to Highway 99 south, then east on I-70 to Topeka.
