Michaela Self has been hired to serve as the new Director for the Junction City Main Street program. She will begin work on April 25th. "But I'll be attending a couple of meetings they have next week, as well as introducing myself to everybody at the Main Street open house."

Self is a graduate of Texas State University where she earned a degree in Marketing and Public Relations. "All through college while I was getting my degree I worked at a Main Street program in San Marcos, Texas. While there she started in an internship position and worked&nbsp; her way up to the assistant position. "

She has spent the past year working as a project manager for U.S. Stone Industries, which is based in Herington. Self is originally from Hutchinson, KS and later lived in Galveston, Texas where she attended high school before attending Texas State University.
