Junction City Fire Department personnel responded to 36 emergency medical calls and several calls for assistance during the July 4th holiday weekend running from the first through the fifth.
There was one apartment fire with sprinkler activation from unattended cooking. The estimated damage totaled $8,000.
There were also two false alarm activations, five outside fires involving trash or rubbish or dumpster fires, one elevator rescue and one motor vehicle collision.
