
RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a case of alleged bank fraud in Manhattan.
On Friday, officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 1000 block of Westloop Place in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
Kansas State Bank reported they had loaned money to a vendor which was not returned after discovering the request was possibly fraudulent.
The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $190,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
