Junction City Brigade General Manager Cecil Aska has announced a vacancy in the head coaching job for the team. He said Brandon Bochar has accepted a position as a pitching coach for Pittsburg State. "It will be a fulltime permanent position for him., which is good."
The search for a replacement is expected to begin within approximately the next week. Aska noted that recruiting will be an important factor for the new coach. "We want to know what their philosophy is because we like things to be aggressive on the bases and good solid defense. Just want to know how they're going to go about recruiting the players that come to Junction City."
Under Bochar's guidance the Brigade won the last two Mid Plains League championships.
