Geary County Landfill Open for Tree Limbs and Brush Only - Public Works Assessing Low Water Crossings and other Damage

Geary County Public Works crews are out assessing damages from last night's severe weather event. We will first be checking and clearing all roads of tree limbs and debris. All low water crossings will be evaluated as well.

The Geary County Landfill is open today for your tree limbs and brush ONLY.

  Geary County Public Works stated that all low water crossings have water and possible debris over them. You should NOT attempt to cross at this time. Crews are out trying to clear what was washed in by the storms and clear the downed trees and more.

Some routes may require you to take an alternative route if possible until further notice.

-- Burley Hill Road (water over not advised to travel over it)

-- Garansen Road

-- Moyer Ranch Road (passable but water over it)

-- Zumbrunn Road (debris and not passible)

-- Hunt Road

-- Pressee Road
