Forrest W. Byerly, 80, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on May 27, 2023. Cremation will take place. He was born on March 13, 1943, Milltown, Indiana, and was the youngest of eleven children. Forrest joined the United States Air Force after graduating high school. Shortly after his time in the Air Force, he met his wife and then reenlisted in the United States Army. He served in the army for almost 20 years. Forrest continued his career on Fort Riley as a civil servant until retirement. In his free time he enjoyed bowling and was on the league bowling teams in Junction City and Manhattan. On June 3, 1966, he married Rebecca Byerly. Together they raised two children. Forrest is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca of the home; his son, Joseph Byerly of Milford, Kansas; daughter, Karen Byerly of Topeka, Kansas; two granddaughters, Jordan Byerly of Topeka, Kansas, Bethany Sparks of Topeka, Kansas; and a host of extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp;&nbsp;
