Randall “Smiley” Mark Burnett, 66 of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away February 26, 2021 at Morris County Hospital.

He was born October 28, 1954 to Kenneth and Betty (Fuqua) Burnett. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1972 and served a year in the US Navy. He worked for Boeing in Wichita for several years before working as a mason in commercial construction.

Smiley married Mary Hewitt in 1987 and they had two children, Dustin and Alison.&nbsp; They later divorced. He relocated to Lubbock, TX for a while and had a daughter Brandi.

Smiley enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting mushrooms, telling jokes and just making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp; Smiley is survived by his children: Dustin Burnett, Alison Mantz (Adam) all of Council Grove and Brandi Burnett of ID; sisters: Pam Gentry of Mableton, GA and Alice Crowley of Emporia; and brother Phil Burnett of Wilsey; and grandchildren: Aleah Olson, Owen Mantz, Kinsley Burnett, and Aiden and Jaxton Dye.

At his request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Smiley’s Life will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Memorial contributions may be made to Randy Burnett Memorial Fund, which will help with funeral expenses.&nbsp; They may be mailed to Farmers &amp; Drovers Bank, PO Box C, Council Grove, KS 66846.&nbsp;
