The Lady Jay Tennis team competed in the Topeka West Invite on Tuesday.  Twelve teams competed in the event.  The Lady Jays had a tough start with first round losses, but then rebounded the rest of the day to only lose two more matches.  As a team, the Lady Jays went 6-6 in their matches for the day.  This included winning three of their two of three set matches and taking their other final match to a third set supertiebreak.

Individually, the #2 singles and doubles events led the way for the Lady Jays.  Both finished 2-1 on the day and in 9th place.  Rachel Cho played the #2 singles spot and Hannah Ratts and Grace Harris teamed up to play the #2 doubles spot.  In the top singles spot, Abby Ratts went 1-2 on the day.  Stephanie Stanislow and Avery Jacobsen teamed up in the top doubles position to also finish 1-2.

The Lady Jays next compete in the Centennial League Tournament on Monday, October 4.  Matches will be held at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka and begin at 9 am.
