Run for the Wall returns in 2022. The cross country motorcycle ride begins in California and makes Junction City one of the overnight stopping points as riders travel across the country to Washington D.C.

The riders will arrive in Junction City on May 22nd. Planners for the event noted that about 4:45 p.m. volunteers will line both sides of Washington Street with 300 U.S.  flags. When the riders arrive at Heritage Park there will be a brief ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and dinner will then be served to the riders at the Junction City Eagles Lodge at 203 East 10th Street.

The morning of May 23rd breakfast will be provided to the riders at the Eagles Lodge and they will then depart Junction City and continue on their trip at 8 a.m.

The purpose of Run for the Wall is to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action, to honor the memory of those Killed in Action from all wards, and to support military personnel all over the world.
