MARION COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before noon Saturday in Marion County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 International semi driven by Gurpreet Singh, 29, Greenwood, Indiana was eastbound on Highway 50 one half mile west of Banner Road. The semi struck a 2002 Ford pickup driven by Jeremy Bialek, 44, Florence, who was slowing and was attempting to make a left turn.
EMS transported Bialek to the hospital in Newton. Singh and a passenger in the semi were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
