UPDATE: Riley Co. woman arrested after allegedly causing rear-end crash

RILEY COUNTY—Police arrested a Riley County woman after a 2-vehicle crash that occurred just after 8a.m. Monday in Manhattan.

According to the Riley County Police Department activity report a 2023 Kia Forte driven by Kezia Shibler, 26, of Riley, was southbound on Seth Child Road at Kimball Avenue. 

A 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Alorrah Wileman, 19, of Manhattan pulled onto Seth Child Road from Gary Avenue in front of the Kia narrowly avoiding a crash.

Shibler then sped up, passed the Prius, switched lanes to get in front of the Toyota then hit her brakes. This caused caused the Prius to rear-end the Kia.

Following an investigation, police arrested Shibler on a requested charge of aggravated battery. She was issued a total bond of $5,000, and is no longer in custody. There were no major injuries reported, according to the RCPD.
