Due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines, there will not be any dine-in for the free Community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by the First Presbyterian Church, but they will still provide a full course meal. To protect the health and safety of everyone, all meals will be available for curb-side pickup only.
The time to pick up meals will 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, at the parking lot behind the church at 113 West 5th Street. Meals will include turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, yams, cranberry sauce, gravy, roll and a slice of pumpkin, apple or sweet potato pie.
Meal orders must placed no later than 2:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 19. Call 785-238-1191 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and indicate the number of meals ordered.
Because of COVID-19 there will be a limit to the number of volunteer workers. They are needed from Monday, Nov. 22 through Thursday, Nov. 25. To volunteer, call the church office at 785-238-1191, beginning Nov. 1.
