Wednesday was the first day of the new school year at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School in Junction City.
School Principal Shawn Augustine reported that 109 students, Pre-K through 12, were enrolled. All teaching positions are full. Coaches are needed for both boys and girls middle school and high school basketball, and there is also a need for a middle school cheer coach.
Wednesday was a full day of classes.
