Clifford L. Morren of Chapman passed away on December 7, 2025, at Enterprise Estates Nursing Home. Clifford was born on January 17, 1955, in Brookings, South Dakota, the son of Dirk and Tracia Morren. He grew up in Hospers, Iowa, where he formed many of the values and memories that shaped the rest of his life, and he graduated from Floyd Valley High School.

On June 9, 1979, he married the love of his life, Debra Hoffman, in Alton, Iowa. Cliff and Debbie spent the early years of their marriage in southeast South Dakota before eventually making their home in Blue Springs, Missouri. In 1995, they moved their family to the Omaha, Nebraska, area.

Cliff devoted most of his career to First Data in Omaha as a data processor, where he was known for his steady work ethic and easy going nature. Cliff lived a life filled with simple pleasures and deep love. He had a lifelong passion for horses and motorcycles, and he found joy in coaching his daughters’ softball teams and umpiring Little League baseball and softball. He was a true sports enthusiast—especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. But more than any hobby or pastime, Cliff cherished time with his family. His gentle spirit, quiet humor, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew him.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie (Hoffman); eldest daughter Amanda Steenholdt, her husband Coast Guard Chief RET. Rob Steenholdt, and their two children Avery and Max Steenholdt, of Spearfish, SD; and youngest daughter Sarah Tabor, her husband Army CW3 Jason Tabor, and their two children Jackson and Charlotte Tabor, of Chapman, KS. He is also survived by his brothers Michael (Kim) Morran and Ric (Julie) Morren; sisters Lisa (Darren) Moser and Susan (Ted) Sellers; and many nieces and nephews. The family has chosen to honor him by way of cremation, and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date in South Dakota
