The newest building in the C.L. Hoover Opera House complex was the site of a ribbon cutting Tuesday afternoon. The Munson Arts Education Building is located at 131 W. 7th Street.

According to C.L. Hoover Opera House Co-Director Joe Markley, this project undertaken by Junction City Opera House Inc. carries a cost of just over $2.5 million. As of now most of the funds have been raised.
Markley confirmed that Michelle Munson was one of the major contributors to the project and the building is named in honor of her parents, Chuck and Deanna Munson, and her grandparents Ralph and Bernice Munson.
