JCHS sweeps the top spots in the Bob Schmoeckel Invitational

Junction City captured first place in both the cross country varsity boys and girls team races in the Bob Schmoekel Invitational at Milford State Park on Saturday. The Blue Jays finished with the low team score of 32 points while the Lady Jays finished with a score of 36 points.

Tyler Atkins won the boys race in 16:21.2. "I just stayed with the pack for two miles and then try to just close the last mile to prepared for regionals and league on this course."

For Junction City, Isaiah Smith finished 4th  in 17:52.3, Alex Curto 8th in 18:25.8 and Ty Raulston 10th in 18:33.3.

In the girls varsity race for Junction City, Brynna York captured 1st in 20:09.9, Lorna Rae Pierce was 2nd in 20:26.6, Reagan McGuire 4th in 20:57.4 and Katelyn Atkins 9th in 21:32.9.
