Robert “Bob” Dale Brockish

Robert “Bob” Dale Brockish, 77, of Wamego, Kansas, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Wamego Health Center.  He was a life-long resident of the area.

Bob was born May 29, 1943, in Westmoreland, Kansas, the son of Oscar F. and Josephine Sable Brockish.  He attended parochial schools and graduated from Luckey Catholic High School in 1961.

Bob worked many years for McCall Pattern Company in Manhattan.  He started out doing janitorial work and then became a printing press operator. He retired in 1985. Following his retirement, Bob, did odd job around the area. Prior to McCall’s, Bob worked for a grocery store in Manhattan.  In his early years, Bob enjoyed bowling.  He also served as an altar boy at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wamego.

Bob is survived by his children; Robert Dale Brockish, Jr., (Marie), Hutchinson, and Theresa Lake (Edward), Junction City; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jaime, amber, Shanice, Justin, and twelve great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Harry Brockish, Donald Brockish, William Brockish, and Rita Kilner.

A private burial was held in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in Wamego.  The family suggests memorial contributions to St Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, and those may be sent in care of Campanella-Evans Mortuary.
