Scattered thunderstorms could bring some rain too cool things off but it's not looking too promising for Geary County this week. Geary County Emegency Management said that scattered storms are expected to persist this evening, with additional development overnight. These storms are not expected to be severe, however may produce gusty winds from 40-50 mph.
The dangerous heat becomes the primary concern with heat indices in the 100-108 range each afternoon through at least Wednesday. Storm chances return late Wednesday evening.
