Six installation - community partnerships in the United States have been recognized. According to the Army, among the recipients of the Partnership Awards was Fort Riley for the demolition intergovernmental support agreement with Geary USD 475.
The agreement dealt with the removal of the former Jefferson Elementary School on post. A new elementary school is being built at that location.
