RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an online scam.
Just before 11a.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report of theft by deception and identity theft in the 1500 Block of Harry Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 69-year-old man reported an unknown suspect he met online defrauded him out of money and personal information. The total loss associated with this case is $5,500.
