In anticipation of forecasted severe winter weather, Fort Riley will operate with minimal manning and limited services Dec. 22.
- All Child Development Centers and the School Age Centers will be closed Thursday.
- The 24-hour fitness centers at Whitside and Craig will remain open. All other fitness centers will be closed.
- Irwin Army Community Hospital will offer virtual appointments or reschedule. Patients can call the appointment line at 785-239-3627
- All hunting and outdoor recreation areas will be closed. Hunters and other outdoor visitors to Fort Riley Training areas should check https://fortriley.isportsman.net/.
- The Henry, Trooper and Ogden access control points will remain open 24/7. All other gates will be closed Thursday and remain closed through Monday.
- Physical fitness training has been cancelled.
- Commanders will determine if other training will occur as scheduled.
- The Fort Riley Commissary will open at 11 a.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. The Fort Riley Main Post Exchange and food courts at the Main PX will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. The Big Red One Express and Forsyth Express sites will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with 24-hour fuel pumps open. All other Exchange locations are closed.
