Junction City, KS - The Junction City Main Street Program is proud to announce the appointment of Jordan McCann as its newest Director. McCann brings experience and a commitment to community development.
With a background in membership development and event coordinating, McCann is well-equipped to build upon the successes of the Junction City Main Street Program and further enhance the vibrancy of downtown Junction City. Her passion for building relationships and small business support aligns with the program's mission to create a thriving downtown district that fosters community engagement and supports local businesses.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jordan to our team," said Sheila Markley, Junction City Main Street Chair. "She has proven herself in this community with strong leadership at the Chamber and we know she will undoubtedly propel our efforts forward as we continue to strengthen Junction City's downtown area."
As the new Director, McCann will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of various initiatives, grants, attracting new businesses and assisting current businesses, and overseeing community events that celebrate the local culture and heritage.
"I am really excited for this transition, it felt like a natural next step in my career,” said McCann. “I will always be grateful for my time at the Chamber and look forward to fostering that relationship as I step into my new role. I have always been a supporter of Main Street and have worked closely with Michaela over the past two years, so I look forward to continuing the work to create a downtown area that is welcoming, vibrant, and reflective of Junction City's unique identity."
McCann officially assumes their role as Director of the Junction City Main Street Program on May 7th.
