Stormont Vail President and CEO Dr. Rob Kenagy noted this week that entity is pleased about the opportunity at Geary Community Hospital.  The two hospitals are working toward an agreement where Stormont Vail will assume oversight of the facility in Junction City on Jan. 1.

Kenagy said Stormont Vail will bring their best effort to turn GCH into a stable entity, and grow and provide healthcare long term. "We are very pleased and grateful for the opportunity to be here. Our team is energized in a very positive way, and in part because of the reception we've had here. The team here at Geary Community Hospital has been very welcoming and very eager to become acquainted and become a part of a singular team that can continue to provide healthcare services in this region."

Kenagy added that GCH will get the best of Stormont Vail's energy in this endeavor. He was in Junction City this week where he attended the Geary Community Hospital Board of Trustees meeting.
