Commercial air service to Manhattan Regional Airport has been delayed from September 6th to September 25th. This is due to the ongoing runway construction project.
American Airlines announced that they are contacting customers whose flights are affected. The flights will either be rebooked to Kansas City or refunded.
Manhattan Regional Airport Director Brandon Keazer said although most of the "hard" construction is done, there is still plenty of electrical work that needs to be finished.
American Airlines said even if construction is finished prior to the new date, they will not resume flights until September 25th.
